Jeanene M. Caccopola, DO, ABFM, IFMCP, ABHRT

Dr. Caccopola is the solo physician and owner of Heightened Health Functional Family Medicine Center. She has been caring for patients in the Lake Zurich/Barrington area since 2004. She has extensive experience and expertise in Primary Care, Functional Medicine, and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Dr. Caccopola graduated as valedictorian from Manhattanville College, NY, then moved to Illinois to attend medical school at Midwestern University - Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago and maintains her Board Certification in Family Medicine.

She pursued further post-doctoral training through in bioidentical hormone replacement therpay. She is accredited as an Advanced BHRT Practitioner through WorldLink Medical's Academy of Preventive & Innovative Medicine, one of the most prestigious international certifying organizations for expertise in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She also attained advanced Certification in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine

Dr. Caccopola strives to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized medical care. She is passionate about helping women and men achieve optimal health and vitality as they age through bioidentical hormone optimization and Functional Medicine.  She offers Advanced Functional Lab Testing to help identify and treat root cause(s) of many chronic symptoms and disease states. By also incorporating education on nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management as a routine part of each patient visit, her patients can learn "health" as a skill to grow and develop throughout their lifetime. 

On a personal note, Dr. Caccopola is married with two teenage daughters.  When not spending time with her family or caring for patients, you can find her outdoors on local hiking trails or cooking up new recipes at home.
